The Practice

Mira Fleur is a bespoke floral practice based in Irvine, serving Orange County. We started this work to solve a specific problem for our clients — for many of the moments that matter most, the right flower is harder to find than it should be. What we offer is the discipline, reliability, and accumulated judgment that come from three decades inside five-star hotel floral departments. We work made-to-order: every arrangement is built for the person and the occasion it is meant for, on the day it will be received. We do not publish a standing catalogue. Each commission begins with a conversation — by text or by request form — and ends with a piece designed for that conversation alone.

The Aesthetic Heritage

The craft behind Mira Fleur was built over three decades inside the floral departments of five-star hotels — a setting where every detail is held to a strict standard. The condition of each stem, the proportion of a composition, the breathing space between colors, the rhythm of placement and replacement: these are things only a long apprenticeship can make consistent. The judgment built up over that training is the honest core of what we bring to every commission.

The training is Eastern in part of its roots. The ikebana sense that empty space is part of a composition, and the longer Chinese habit of treating a flower as a carrier of feeling — a peony for someone starting again, a single branch of plum because the person you are sending it to will understand exactly why — these are the two traditions we work inside.

What three decades of practice leaves behind is less a set of techniques than a way of judging — which stems belong together, which colors should sit beside which, how much architecture and how much softness a single piece can hold. That judgment is the most concrete thing we can offer a client, whether the work is a single bouquet for a dining table or a standing arrangement in a hotel lobby.

Our Philosophy

A flower should never feel generic. A birthday arrangement should look like it was made for the person whose birthday it is. A sympathy piece should carry the specific quiet a family needs. A proposal bouquet should hold the language between two people, not the trend of the season. That's why we work made-to-order, why we begin with a brief, and why — when the flower you've asked for isn't quite right — we tell you so plainly.

How We Source

We source fresh stems weekly from the Los Angeles Flower Market and from select specialty growers across California. We hold a valid California seller's permit and trade badge. What we can offer in any given week depends on what is genuinely beautiful that week — and we will always tell you honestly what is in peak form, and what is not.

If you're considering commissioning something, we'd love to hear what you have in mind. Text is the fastest way; the request form is the cleanest for larger work.
